Deadline extended for doctors to sign up to free GP care for children under six

The National Association of GPs has said the deadline for doctors to sign up to free care for children under six has been extended.

The organisation had encouraged its members to refrain from joining the programme until a number of concerns had been addressed.

The NAGP has welcomed the extension of the deadline but added it continues to believe that the proposed under six scheme is not in the best interest of patients.
