ISPCA rescue kitten with severe burns

The ISPCA has rescued an eight-month-old kitten that was found in Waterford city with severe burns.

Inspectors found the kitten with terrible injuries and brought it to a vet.

It is thought the burns may have happened some time ago, but the animal is expected to fully recover.

They have named the kitten Robin and are appealing for anyone with information on how the injuries may have occured to contact the ISPCA.

Inspector Lacey said: "We are appealing for any information about this kitten and his terrible injuries.

"It is appalling for any animal to be in this state, especially such a young and vulnerable kitten."
