Eircom service restored to 50,000 in Cork

Eircom says service has now been fully restored after an outage earlier today.

Around 50,000 telephone customers and a few thousand other broadband customers were left without supply for a number of hours.

Eircom says it was caused by a temporary loss of power at its Quaker Road exchange in Cork but that service has now returned to normal.
