A Ballymun man has been jailed for eight years for taking part in a 'tiger' kidnapping at the home of former All-Ireland hurling star Adrian Ronan.

A Ballymun man has been jailed for eight years for taking part in a 'tiger' kidnapping at the home of former All-Ireland hurling star Adrian Ronan.

Stephen Freeman of Ballcurris Gardens pleaded guilty to trying to steal cash from a Bank of Ireland branch in Kilkenny in November 2009.

Mr Ronan worked at the bank and Freeman further admitted using force on him and members of his family in order to frighten him.
