A body of a man has been found in the MacGillycuddy's Reeks in County Kerry.

A body of a man has been found in the MacGillycuddy's Reeks in County Kerry.

His body was discovered on Carrauntoohil mountain yesterday evening.

The man, who is believed to have been in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body was removed to Tralee General Hospital, where a post mortem examination is due to be carried out.

Gardaí are investigating, however, the cause and circumstances surrounding his death has not yet been confirmed.
