A man has died in a road accident in Tallaght, Dublin last night.

A man has died in a road accident in Tallaght, Dublin last night.

The single-vehicle collision happened on the N81 heading towards the M50 at around 2.15am this morning.

A male motorcyclist, aged in his mid-20s, was pronounced dead at the scene after his motorcycle collided with the roundabout.

The scene was preserved and Garda Forensic Collision Investigators have conducted their investigations and the road has reopened.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information, particularly those who were travelling on the N81 this morning are asked to contact Tallaght Garda station on 01 - 6666000, The Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any Garda station.
