A man has been arrested following an attack on another man in Cork yesterday afternoon.

A man has been arrested following an attack on another man in Cork yesterday afternoon.

Gardaí were called to Greenmount at around 4.30pm yesterday following reports of an assault.

A man in his 40s was taken to Cork University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Another man, also aged in his 40s, has been arrested.

Investigations are ongoing.
