New ban on sunbed 'happy hours' begins

A ban on so-called "happy hours" for sunbed use comes into effect today.

The new regulations block unlimited or free use of tanning beds.

They will also mean supervision and warning signs on commercial premises and protective eyewear will have to be worn to tackle eye cancer.

The new rules follow a ban on sunbed use for under 18s introduced last summer.
