Police in Antrim are appealing for information after a man was hit by a car in the early hours of this morning.

Police in Antrim are appealing for information after a man was hit by a car in the early hours of this morning.

The pedestrian, aged in his 50s, was knocked down on the Burn Road near Doagh just after midnight.

He's receiving treatment in hospital where his condition is currently believed to be critical but stable.

Anyone who witnessed the incident which involving a grey Vauxhall Astra is asked to contact Antrim Police Station on the non emergency number 101.
