Three admit attack on man trapped in Antrim wheelie bin

Two men and a woman have admitted involvement in an attack on a man who was found naked, bruised and battered in a taped-up wheelie bin in Co Antrim.

Teri Lau,of Dunclug Park, and Roddy Patterson, Glendun Drive, Ballymena, County Antrim, pleaded guilty to actual bodily harm and false imprisonment.

Paula Wilson, originally of Millfield, Ballymena, pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting false imprisonment.

The three denied the attempted murder of 21-year-old Adam Robinson.

Lau and Patterson were remanded in custody until sentencing on the December 22, while Wilson was granted continuing bail.

Earlier hearings were told that Mr Robinson was only found by chance, when a dog sniffed out the bin, which was sealed with parcel tape.

The pet's barking alerted its owner who then rang the emergency services.
