A man in his 50s has been killed in a two-car crash in Co Meath.

A man in his 50s has been killed in a two-car crash in Co Meath.

It happened on the southbound carriageway of the N3 north of Kells at around 12.20pm.

The driver was seriously injured when his car collided with another car and was pronounced dead shortly after he was removed to Navan Hospital.

Nobody else was injured.

The road is closed to traffic and Gardaí are on their wat to carry out a forensic examination of the scene.
