Two men are due before a special sitting of Carlow District Court this evening, in connection with the discovery of a cannabis growhouse.

Two men are due before a special sitting of Carlow District Court this evening, in connection with the discovery of a cannabis growhouse.

The plants, worth an estimated €115,000, were discovered at a premises in Friars Hill Grange in Tullow yesterday.

The seizure was part of an ongoing intelligence led operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs.

The men, aged 37 and 33 years, were arrested at the scene of the seizure and taken to Carlow Garda station. They are scheduled to appear in court at 6.30pm.
