Two men have been arrested in connection with an alleged serious sexual assault in Dublin.

Two men have been arrested in connection with an alleged serious sexual assault in Dublin.

The men one in his late teens and the other in his 20s were detained this morning.

A woman reported being pulled off her bicycle by a group of men in the Newlands Road area of Clondalkin in the early hours of yesterday morning.

It is alleged they then dragged her into nearby bushes were she was assaulted.

The arrested men were detained this morning in relation to the investigation and are being held and Lucan Garda station.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
