Gardaí have seized drugs worth an estimated €2.7m during an operation in Co Meath.

Gardaí have seized drugs worth an estimated €2.7m during an operation in Co Meath.

The cannabis herb was discovered when Gardaí searched a number of vehicles in Ashbourne shortly after 3pm.

Three men aged 58, 41 and 35 were arrested.

They are currently detained at Ashbourne and Finglas Garda Stations under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice act and can be detained for up to 7 days.

Gardaí say the operation is part of investigations targeting organised crime in the Dublin and Meath regions.
