Dublin woman celebrates 'amazing feeling' winning €500,000 on Euromillions

A half a mill in the bank? Yep, that works.

Dublin woman celebrates 'amazing feeling' winning €500,000 on Euromillions

Wednesday night was a big night for us all, thanks to Robbie Brady's stuff-of-dreams goal against Italy.

But one Dublin woman had many, many more reasons to celebrate than that one when she checked her ticket at half-time.

She realised she'd won €500,000 while checking her and her father's tickets, thanks to a QuickPick ticket bought in Spar in Woodstown Village, Knocklyon.

As she collected her cheque today, the winner said:"It’s an amazing feeling. You wake up one morning and you can afford to see the world a little differently. Having the comfort of half a million euro in the bank is just wonderful."

We bet it is.

The lucky winner says she'll take a bit of time to consider how to spend her winnings, but will definitely pay off a pre-planned trip to New York a little earlier than planned, as well as travelling over with empty suitcases.

Congratulations lucky lady, whoever you are.
