A man is in hospital after an assault in Dublin city last night.

A man is in hospital after an assault in Dublin city last night.

It happened on Robert Emmet Walk in Dublin 8 between 10.30pm and 11pm.

The 58-year-old victim was later found on Cork Street at around twenty past midnight, and rushed to St James' Hospital, where he is in a stable condition.

Both scenes have been preserved for technical examinations.
