Woman in her 50s killed after car crashes into field
A woman in her 50s has died in a crash near Miltown Malbay, Co Clare.
The single vehicle accident happened at about 11pm last night when the car left the road and entered a field.
The woman, who was the only occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her body has been removed to Limerick University Hospital where a post mortem examination will be carried out.
The road at the scene is closed for a forensic examination.
