Almost 10,000 a day on methadone, Minister reveals
Almost 10,000 addicts a day are using methadone.
Figures released by the Minister for Health show that by the end of January, there were 9,615 people using the drug substitute.
Since 2011, there has been a year-on-year increase in the use of methadone.
Some of those taking the drug have been on it for 25 years.
