Passenger treated after Cork-Birmingham flight declares medical emergency
An Aer Lingus regional flight from Cork to Birmingham declared a medical emergency before landing at Birmingham Airport this morning.

Flight EI 3700 from Cork was travelling to Birmingham when a passenger, a man in his 50s, became ill on board.
The crew requested the priority landing so the passenger could receive immediate medical attention. He was rushed to the Heartlands Hospital for treatment.

A spokesman for Birmingham Airport said the flight from Cork landed "safely and without incident" at 7.58am, and referred all other queries to Aer Lingus.
The scheduled time of arrival was 8.10am.
