NBRU to meet with Dublin Bus management on Friday

The National Bus and Rail Union says it will meet with management at Dublin Bus on Friday, to discuss ways to avoid industrial action by drivers.

Six days of strike action have been scheduled for September.

The strikes will be held on September 8, 9, 15, 16, 23 and 24.

However, General Secretary of the NBRU Dermot O'Leary, says this Friday's meeting with Dublin Bus doesn't mean that the industrial action will be called of.

"I don't want people, particularly commuters and my own members, to be led up the garden path into some type of charade which will have us going into Dublin Bus on Friday to be told that they can't make an improved offer and to walk back out again."
