A man in his 20s has been hospitalised following a stabbing incident in Limerick City.

The attack happened on Upper William Street yesterday afternoon.

The man was taken to University Hospital Limerick.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
