The army bomb squad has made safe an explosive device in Tallaght in Dublin.

The suspect device was found outside a home in the Glenshane area of Jobstown this evening by a member of the public.

The device was made safe at the scene without the need for a controlled explosion and was brought to a secure military location for further examination.
