SIPTU members in Dublin Fire Brigade are to ballot for industrial action in a row over outstanding firefighter vacancies.
The union says the chief executive of Dublin City Council has refused to implement an agreement reached in May for the filling of the outstanding posts.
They claim Owen Keegan has reneged on the agreement to have an open competition, in favour of a confined one within the four Dublin local authorities.
