Man arrested in connection with Strokestown incident released without charge

A man in his 50s has been released without charge after being arrested in connection with an incident in Strokestown, County Roscommon.

A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

He was the seventh person to be arrested by gardaí investigating an attack at a repossessed home at Falsk in mid-December.

Eight security men were injured, a dog was killed, and six vehicles were burnt out in the incident.
