The jury has begun its deliberations in the trial of an Offaly GP accused of killing her severely disabled daughter in September 2012.

Bernadette Scully (pictured) denies being grossly negligent in giving her an excessive dose of a sedative at their home at Emvale, Bachelor’s Walk in Tullamore.

The seven women and five men have been asked to leave all emotion to one side and approach the case in a “cool and collected way.”
