Gardai discovered cannabis herb with a street value of around €100,000 when they searched a car in Limerick last night.

Gardaí discovered cannabis herb with a street value of around €100,000 when they searched a car in Limerick last night.

The car was stopped at Davin Gardens, Caherdavin, Limerick as part of an ongoing operation by gardaí attached to the District Drug Unit in Roxboro Rd, Limerick.

A 54-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman were arrested and are being detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996, as amended, at Mayorstone and Roxboro Garda stations respectively.
