A woman has been released without charge after entering a school in Co. Mayo carrying a knife.

A woman has been released without charge after entering a school in Co. Mayo carrying a knife.

Gardaí said the incident happened at around 9.30am this morning at a secondary school in Ballina.

The woman is alleged to have threatened a member of staff.

The woman was arrested and taken to Ballina Garda Station, but has since been released from custody.
