A man is due to appear in court this morning charged in connection with an armed robbery in Dublin on Saturday.

A man is due to appear in court this morning charged in connection with an armed robbery in Dublin on Saturday.

At about 7:45pm a man armed with a knife entered a shop in Crumlin and demanded cash, he fled the scene and boarded a Dublin Bus.

A witness alerted Gardaí and a number of units responded.

The bus was stopped at James's Street and the man was arrested a short time later.

He is due to appear before Dublin District Court this morning charged in connection with the incident.
