Gardaí in Wexford have seized €25,000 euro worth of designer drug Pentylone.

0.5 kilos of the drug were seized after being delivered to an address in Enniscorthy.

The drugs originated in China.

Pentylone is a stimulant compound, of the cathinone family.

A 45-year-old Irish man has been arrested and is being questioned at Enniscorthy garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Update 10.40pm: Gardaí have released the man they have been questioning.
