A man has died after falling into the water at Dublin Port early this morning.

Man dies after slipping off pier at Dublin Port

A man has died after falling into the water at Dublin Port early this morning.

It happened shortly before 5am when he slipped and fell while trying to access the pier from a boat.

Gardaí have confirmed that the man, in his fifties, was brought to the Mater Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

They say the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
