A post mortem is expected to confirm the cause of death of a man who died last night after an assault earlier in the week in Tralee.

Dmitry Hrynkevich, 24, who was from Russia but grew up in Killarney, was attacked on Wednesday night at the Killeen Woods housing estate where gardaí found him unconscious in a front garden.

Mr Hrynkevich (pictured) had been living in the house in front of which he was found. He also had addresses at Aghadoe, Killarney, and Bishops Court, Killarney.

At 7ft 6in tall, he was one of the tallest men in Ireland and was a well-known figure in Killarney.

Two men, one in his 20s and one in his 30s, were arrested and have been released without charge. Files are being prepared for the DPP.
