The Teachers Union of Ireland has called off planned strike action later this month.

The Teachers Union of Ireland has called off planned strike action later this month.

TUI members in the second level, and further and adult education sectors, voted by 89% to engage in a campaign of industrial action to secure resolution to crisis issues.

The strike planned February 24 has been called off following contact from the Department of Education.

However, the union jhas warned that industrial action will take place at a later stage, unless there is meaningful progress.
