The Road Safety Authority says the highest number of motor cycle fatalities occur in the months of spring and summer, as the weather improves.

Twenty-six motorcyclists lost their lives on Irish roads last year.

The Road Safety Authority will be at the Motorcycle Show in the RDS in Dublin this weekend, in a effort to communicate a message of vigilance to road users.

Brian Farrell from the RSA, says this time of year can be a dangerous for those who are taking their motorbike out for the for the first time in a while.
