A company which makes animated films is to create 71 new jobs in Dublin.

A company which makes animated films is to create 71 new jobs in Dublin.

The positions are to come on stream over the next two years at the digital animation company Brown Bag Films, which is located in Smithfield.

The company said the extra staff were needed to expand its global performance.

Recruitment has already begun.

Brown Bag currently employs 184 staff at their offices in Dublin, Manchester and LA, and is operating for 22 years.

It's nominations and awards have included Oscar nominations for Give Up Yer Aul Sins (2002) and Granny O'Grimm's Sleeping Beauty (2010), three Emmy awards for Peter Rabbit (2014), and a host of BAFTA, Emmy, IFTA and Annie nominations for their hit shows Octonauts, Doc McStuffins and Henry Hugglemonster.
