The Coast Guard was called to assist two men in their 20s who got into difficulty on the cliffs of Howth Head in Dublin yesterday.

The Coast Guard was called to assist two men in their 20s who got into difficulty on the cliffs of Howth Head in Dublin yesterday.

The call came at around 7pm, after one of the men suffered a fall while walking down a path near Balscaden to the water.

In a joint operation, teams from the Irish Coast Guard in Howth and Dublin Fire Brigade located the men and evacuated them to a waiting DFB ambulance.

They had suffered minor injuries.
