Cork's Joanne O'Riordan wins international award

Joanne O'Riordan has been given the International Outstanding Young Person of the World Award.

The Cork woman - who is one of seven people on the globe to live with, Total Amelia, meaning she was born without limbs - has been honoured for her humanitarian work.

A panel of judges said they chose Joanne because of her contribution to children, world peace and human rights.

The award is organised by the Junior Chamber organisation.
