It has been reported that three gardaí have been stabbed as they tried to execute a warrant in Clogherhead in Co Louth.

Three gardaí have been injured during a drugs raid in Co Louth.

It happened after gardaí entered a house in Termonfeckin on foot of a drugs warrant at around 9am this morning.

A scuffle broke out and three gardaí were injured.

It has been reported that gardaí had a pitbull dog set on them and were attacked with a knife.

They were taken to hospital, but have since been discharged.

A man in his 30s was arrested and taken to Drogheda Garda Station.
