A number of homes in Blanchardstown had to be evacuated last night due to a bomb scare.

A number of homes in Blanchardstown had to be evacuated last night due to a bomb scare.

A suspect device was found under a van in the Corduff Grove area.

Gardaí were called to the scene of the housing estate at around 8.45pm.

The Army Bomb Disposal Unit were called in later and declared the device non-viable.
