Investigations launched into prisoner death

Three investigations are underway into the circumstances surrounding the death of a prisoner in Dublin's Clover Hill Prison last night.

Marius Sarzynski, who had been charged with murdering his wife, was found slumped in his cell at around 10.30pm yesterday.

It is believed the prisoner took his own life and foul play is not suspected.

The 37-year-old received hospital treatment for a broken hip last week after jumping out the window of a courthouse in Navan and it is reported he was on suicide watch.
