Last week, Minister Varadkar suggested when he took Leaders Questions that there might not be a leadership contest in his party for two years.
He said today that it is entirely up to Enda Kenny when it will be.
"The time of his departure is really a matter for him, and I've always been very clear about that" he said.
"He has my full support, I think he's doing a phenomenal job as Taoiseach, and has really helped this Coalition to gel to get our first Budget through, and will lead us into a very important period ahead where there are enormous challenges to answer, such as Brexit and … around industrial action and public-sector pay."
