Visiting restrictions will remain in place at University Hospital Galway throughout the weekend to help prevent the spread of the winter vomiting bug.

People are being urged not to visit, not to bring children to the hospital and strictly follow visiting restrictions as well as hygiene guidelines.

Anyone who thinks they may have Norovirus is also asked to contact their GP rather than going to the hospital.
