Detectives in Belfast are appealing for information after a man was attacked with a hammer as he left the city cemetery.

Detectives in Belfast are appealing for information after a man was attacked with a hammer as he left the city cemetery.

The 24-year-old was blocked by a number of masked men in a white-coloured Hyundai car at about 2.30pm on Thursday, April 21.

The man suffered injuries to his leg and was hospitalised as a result of the assault.

The PSNI is appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
