A 25-year-old man is due before Cork District court in the morning charged in connection with the murder of Marian Horgan.

A 25-year-old man is due before Cork District court in the morning charged in connection with the murder of Marian Horgan.

The 60-year-old lost her life in an incident in her Montenotte home, while her husband 67-year-old Billy Horgan was seriously injured.

Mr Horgan is receiving treatment in hospital.

The 25-year-old man is being held at Mayfield Garda Station.
