Gardaí in Swords are renewing their witness appeal in connection with an assault.

A woman in her 30s was attacked at the Seatown Roundabout in Swords last Sunday morning at around 6.45am.

The woman, who was walking to work on the R132, was assaulted close to the Seatown Road and the Seatown Roundabout, known locally as Woodies Roundabout, by a man wearing a grey hoodie.

She received minor injuries during the incident and managed to get away from the man when a passing cyclist offered help to the woman.

Gardaí in Swords are renewing their appeal for witnesses, they are particularly interested in speaking to a number of people who stopped and assisted the woman after she was assaulted.

It is believed two taxi men helped her, one man in a red/maroon four-door saloon type car and the second taxi man who had a fare on board.

Two men also assisted who were in a recovery type vehicle with flashing red lights on the back.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Gardaí.
