Father of three facing deportation reunited with family in Galway
A Brazilian man who was facing deportation has been reunited with his family in Galway after being released from prison in Dublin.
The Department of Justice will review the case of Lucivaldo Araujo da Silva who, along with his wife Danielle Martins Ribeiro and one of their children, were set to be flown out of the country to Brazil.
He was arrested on foot of a deportation order earlier this month and was being held in Cloverhill Prison.
However, he has now been released and reunited with his wife and three children - Stephany Bianka Martins Ribeiro (aged 12), Bryan Martins Araujo (aged 9) and Nicole Martins Ribeiro (aged 2) - in Athenry.
Mr da Silva and his family have been in Ireland for 12 years, and their children were all born here.

Minister for Justice and Equality, Charlie Flanagan, says there is no "imminent threat of deportation" to a man from Brazil currently living in Galway.
Lucivaldo Araujo da Silva and his wife Danielle Martins Ribeiro have been living in Athenry for 12 years and all three of their children were born in Ireland.
Mr da Silva, who was arrested on foot of a deportation order on February 2, was taken to Cloverhill Prison, and was due to be deported tomorrow.
Minister Flanagan says he "became aware of this case in recent days and followed up promptly with his officials" and that "there is no imminent threat of deportation."
The Minister adds that he will have further opportunity to review the case and any new information the applicant wishes to submit.
