The Government is set to ban expiry dates on gift vouchers as part of an overhaul of consumer law.

The Government is set to ban expiry dates on gift vouchers as part of an overhaul of consumer law.

A new bill to be published by Jobs Minister Richard Bruton later will also pledge to toughen security for online shopping online, and give statutory rights to people who legally download or stream music, videos and apps.

The changes will also cover price information for medical consultations, including GP visits.
