Four men have been arrested after a post office robbery in Co Kilkenny.

Four men have been arrested after a post office robbery in Co Kilkenny.

A number of masked men entered the post office at Main Street in Urlingford shortly after midday, threatened staff and left with a substantial amount of cash.

A female staff member received minor injuries.

Gardaí later stopped a car on the Urlingford to Freshford road and arrested three men in their mid-20s.

A fourth man was detained in Kilkenny city at around 4pm.

A sum of money was recovered during the arrests and subsequent searches.
