Talks aimed at resolving the dispute at Irish Rail have been adjourned for the night.

Talks aimed at resolving the dispute at Irish Rail have been adjourned for the night.

The discussions at the Labour Relations Commission have been ongoing throughout the day and are aimed at averting more strikes at the company.

It follows two 24-hour work stoppages last month over pay cuts of up to 6%

The workers are planning three further strikes - next Sunday and Monday and on September 21.

The talks are set to resume 10.30am tomorrow.
