Police in the North are appealing for witnesses to an armed raid and attempted arson attack on a Burrito bar in Bangor, Co. Down.

At about 8.55am this morning two men forced their way into the outlet on Rathgael Road - one of them pointed what is believed to be a gun at a member of staff and punched the man in the head.

A third man is reported to have kept guard at the entrance to the premises.

The PSNI says the men attempted to set fire to the premises before making off with a sum of cash.
