Two men have appeared in court charged in connection with the death of a Latvian man in Carlow earlier this week.

Two men have appeared in court charged in connection with the death of a Latvian man in Carlow earlier this week.

The body of Gints Intembergs was found at a house in the Graigowen estate in Tullow on Tuesday morning.

52-year-old Liam Power of no fixed abode, and 31-year-old Dzintris Zakcalausks of 54 Barrow Vale, Carlow Town, appeared at Carlow District Court this morning, charged with assault causing harm.

They have been remanded to Cloverhill Prison and will appear in court again next week.
